David is doing good. He is handling dialysis well, but it is very taxing on his body, and he will not be able to do it forever.
He has completed all of the medical and psychological testing that his transplant team has recommended, and we have been told that the transplant is a "go-a-head" at this point.
So, it is time to start looking for possible donors. If anyone at all is interested in being tested as a possible match, please reach out to me through messenger, either on my private page, or this one. I will get all of the information to you.
Thank you all for everything you have done. And, thank you all for your prayers. 🧡🧡🧡
Wanted to add; the hospital stay for the donor is anywhere from 1 to 3 days. The recovery time is anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks (the surgery for the donor is done laparoscopicly now. And, most donors are good to go after they are up and walking, usually within about 24 hours). The surgery will be done at UW Madison, In Madison, Wisconsin.
There is a program in place for compensation for time off of work.
