David is doing good. He is handling dialysis well, but it is very taxing on his body, and he will not be able to do it forever.
He has completed all of the medical and psychological testing that his transplant team has recommended, and we have been told that the transplant is a "go-a-head" at this point.

So, it is time to start looking for possible donors. If anyone at all is interested in being tested as a possible match, please reach out to me through messenger, either on my private page, or this one. I will get all of the information to you.

Thank you all for everything you have done. And, thank you all for your prayers. 🧡🧡🧡

Wanted to add; the hospital stay for the donor is anywhere from 1 to 3 days. The recovery time is anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks (the surgery for the donor is done laparoscopicly now. And, most donors are good to go after they are up and walking, usually within about 24 hours). The surgery will be done at UW Madison, In Madison, Wisconsin.
There is a program in place for compensation for time off of work.

Update on David
David has completed all of the medical testing necessary for the possibility of a kidney transplant, and all of that looks good. He has to go through his counseling, and then we find out whether or not he is considered a good candidate for a transplant.
Many people have previously and generously offered to be tested to see if they are a potential match for donation.
I don't want to pressure anyone. This is a huge decision. But, if anyone is still interested in being tested, please let me know, and I will get the information about how to go about it to you.
There are also programs in place for reimbursement of wages for time off of work, that would be required for any donor.
Please message, or text me if you're still interested in being tested. And, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for even considering it. 🧡🙏🧡

So, David's Birthday wasn't too nice for him (but, if all goes good in the future, it'll actually be the best birthday ever!). We spent the day in Madison having tests done, and meeting with the transplant team. Now we wait until the results come back to find out whether or not he's a good candidate. Thank you all so much for all of the prayers!!! And, a HUGE thank you to Paul, and Lisa for today! You are both a gift from God! And, a HUGE thank you to my sister, Jackie for taking care of our house and Trapper John while we were gone. 🧡🧡🧡
Please please please keep the prayers coming!

Update on David.

Toward the beginning of October David will be going to Madison for a complete work up to make sure that he's a good candidate for a kidney transplant. If everything goes good, and looks good, he will meet with the transplant team that same day to find out step by step what happens next. Please, please, please pray that he is a good candidate. He needs every prayer possible.
🧡🙏🧡
