In this field/ line of work you get to experience lots of different emotions because this is how it all starts👇
■Family makes that call of interest and ask all the necessary questions about the company/facility👇
■Family comes in for a tour/physical visit 👇where you show them what you do and how you serve each resident then pin point those important things that make the facility unique hence different from the other around that area👇
■ Family show more interest and become intentional and during that we make a special visit to meet, chat with their loved one if they are not able to come and just like that many times you may fall in love with the client and make it known that you are willing and ready to serve them as you walk that line with them till the end.👇
■ Agreements are signed, payments are made and move in date scheduled 📅 👇
■ Then the move in day comes and every resident's family decorates their room to their liking🥰👇
■Then the real journey begins as you get to know the new resident, start watering the trust ground, nature them as you give confidence and show safety, preservation, dignity, love, God, laughter , Joy, Kindness, compassion and top it all with good home made meals 😊 👇
■ As time, months and years go by you two become inseparable because the bond is just way stronger than anything else ❤️. Your hearts attach and even when they don't speak or not able to say a word; the twinkle in their eyes brings fulfillment/contentment.
O God it is the best feeling ever!👇
■ And boom you see them declining even though you knew that such a day will happen; you are still not prepared enough to let go but still God has different plans then you walk those last Months, weeks,days, hours to the finish line and closely watch the heavenly doors open slowly but surely 😭💔 then you observe all these changes in their body as they lay down peacefully with the help of all the comfort meds and your heart is silently breaking but you gotta hold it together for them to be even stronger, you sing praise songs and call in God's peace for their soul and Boom the end knocks and you closely watch them take their last breaths😭💔.👇
■ So as you try to adjust to the new normal, painfully holding yourself together then comes that time of family members dismantling the room and packing everything that belongs to their loved one hmmmm watching that is a new pain all together that brings out all these emotions, tears etc not because you are mad at them doing what needs to be done but rather wishing that they could have left the room intact for afew more days 🤯😭👇
■ Anyways I am thankful that I am able to make a difference each day even when it hurts at the end.
I am thankful that God is and has used me as his vessel to touch many lives 🙏 🙌 ❤️ during this course of service 🙌 🙏 I pray that he continues to strengthen me and grant me wisdom and extra courage to touch more lives 🙏 in the years I have here on earth 🌎 🙏

We are truly a family at the Rock Creek house as these words express:

We wanted to express our sincere condolences for the gentleman that passed recently. My mother Yvonne and I were both impressed with the gentle, loving care that the Heart and Stone care team gave to him and his family. This gives me such comfort and peace knowing that your team members are so patient and compassionate. I also wanted to tell you how I have been very impressed with how quickly and efficiently my mother’s care team has learned the peg feeding process. Well done and thank you, Phiona, Joseph, Dora and Ramona!!!

"I cannot thank you and your staff enough for all of the loving care they gave Maurice. From the time he was there for daycare to his passing moments, he was greeted with smiles and love every day. Everyone was always so kind to me as well, even though I came every day I was in town. They always welcomed me. Phiona was amazing his last few days and showered us with prayers and love and guidance about the times that would be most meaningful to Maurice for us to be present. We never wanted to leave his side but did need a few moments for meals and sleep."
