Want to raise awareness of this issue, because I realize not many people who drive cars are taught this or are aware of how to be safe when driving around Semis or trucks with trailers because they have never driven them. We need much more space than you do to make turns, especially right turns. When entering a scrap yard, I need to use the left lane on a two lane road to have enough clearance to be able to allow other vehicle clearance who are exiting the yard. The most dangerous thing you can do in a car is pass me from behind me when I'm stopped with my turn signals flashing from the left lane at a truck entrance. You are in my blindspot, and I won't see you until it's too late. Also, when approaching a 2 lane roundabout, trucks need both lanes to make it through. In the state of Wisconsin it is illegal to pass a semi in a roundabout. Thank you to all the truck drivers keeping America moving, and I pray safety to each and every one of them. I also pray safety to all drivers on the road that they would be more alert and give truckers a little more space on the road so that we all can get back home at night.
