If you’re turning your home into an Airbnb, or you’ve just started hosting, this small detail can make a big difference in your reviews.
Always check under the beds.
Even if the room looks spotless or you think the guest didn’t use the bed, you’d be surprised by what can end up under there: trash, wrappers, clothing, toys, food, and sometimes things you’d never expect.

It’s a simple step, but it helps ensure a cleaner space and a better experience for your next guest.

When was the last time you gave your bedroom a real refresh?
And no, I’m not just talking about picking up clothes or dusting shelve. I mean your bed sheets.

Most people wash their sheets only when they remember, but let me give you an important fact:
Your sheets can accumulate sweat, dead skin cells, oils, and bacteria faster than you think. Even if they *look* clean, they’re not always as fresh as they feel.

So here’s the recommendation:
Wash your sheets at least every two weeks.
Why? Because regular washing helps reduce allergens, keeps bacteria under control, and gives you a healthier, more restful sleep.
And if you already have a cleaning service, ask them if they offer sheet‑washing as an add‑on. Most companies can include it for a small extra fee.
When you give your bedroom a full reset, the whole space feels fresher, lighter, and truly clean.
Try it, and let me know how it feels.

Running an Airbnb and Cleaning It Yourself?
Here it is one thing that could save you: Extra supplies.

If you manage your own Airbnb, you already know the truth: things don’t always go as planned.
Sometimes the checkout and the next check‑in are only a couple of hours apart
and that’s when having extras becomes your best friend.

Here’s what every host should always keep on hand:

1. Extra long bath towels

2. Extra hand towels

3. Extra face towels

4. Extra full sheet sets

(Yes, including the fitted sheet, flat sheet, pillowcases and the comforter cover.)

5. Extra kitchen towels

Why?
Because unexpected things happen. A guest stains a towel. A sheet doesn’t dry on time. The comforter needs a deeper wash. And when your turnover window is short, you simply don’t have time to wash everything before the next guest arrives.

My recommendation:

Always keep at least one full backup set of everything.
This way, you can reset the space quickly, keep your standards high, and avoid the stress of rushing laundry between guests.

Your future self will thank you and so will your reviews.

And Let’s Talk About That Stainless-Steel Stove

Your stove is usually the appliance that gets dirty the fastest , spills, grease, fingerprints, you name it. The good news is that the same simple method works beautifully here too.

1. Remove Loose Debris First

Wipe away crumbs, dried food, or loose grease with a dry microfiber cloth.
This makes the cleaning step much easier.

2. Use the Soap + Water Mix

Apply your warm water and dish‑soap mixture directly onto the stove surface.
Let it sit for a few seconds if there’s stubborn grease.

3. Wipe With Microfiber (Again, Two Cloths Make the Difference)

• Use the first microfiber cloth to lift away the soap and grease.
• Use the second dry microfiber cloth to dry and buff the surface.

Drying is what prevents streaks and brings out that natural stainless‑steel shine.

4. For Extra Shine on the Stove

If your stove still looks a little dull, you can use:

• Mineral oil
• Orange Glo (safe and won’t damage stainless steel)

Apply the oil to the microfiber cloth, not directly on the stove.
Buff with a clean, dry cloth and enjoy that smooth, polished finish.

Clean Your Stainless-Steel Appliances With Products You Already Have at Home

Forget the pricey specialty cleaners, your stainless‑steel appliances can look brand‑new with just a few simple items you already own.

Here’s my go‑to method for a streak‑free, shiny finish:

1. Start With the Basics: Soap + Water

Mix warm water with a small amount of dish soap.
Apply the mixture directly onto the appliance.

2. Wipe With Microfiber (Two Cloths Are Key)

• Use the first microfiber cloth to remove the soapy mixture.
• Use a second clean, dry microfiber cloth to dry the surface thoroughly.

Most stainless‑steel appliances don’t need anything more than this. The combo of soap and proper drying usually brings back the natural shine.

3. Need Extra Shine? Try These Safe Options

If you still see dull spots or want a little extra glow, you can use:

• Mineral oil
• Orange Glo (safe for stainless steel and won’t damage the surface)

Important tip:
Apply the oil to the microfiber cloth, not directly on the appliance. This prevents greasy buildup.
Then buff with a clean, dry microfiber cloth and
voilà
your appliance looks like new again.
