Scott Lamers Construction, LLC, specializing in trenchless sewer repair is seeking a fulltime Project Manager/Estimator. The Project Manager/Estimator at Scott Lamers Construction will play a critical role in driving the success of all projects from conception to completion. This role’s ability to manage multiple facets of a project – from planning and procurement to estimating and customer service - ensures that projects are executed smoothly, meet high-quality standards, and satisfies customer needs. This role significantly impacts the company’s operational efficiency, financial performance and reputation in the community.

Project Planning and Ex*****on
*Develop comprehensive project plans that may include timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
*Monitor project progress and adjust as necessary to keep projects on track.
*Ensures that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the customer’s satisfaction.
Materials Management and Procurement
*Identify and source high-quality materials required for each project.
*Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best price and terms.
*Ensure timely delivery of materials.
*Reduce costs and prevent delays, directly contributing to the financial health of the company and the smooth ex*****on of projects.
Estimating
*Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects; including labor, materials, equipment, and other expenses.
*Manage the permit process, including preparing and submitting permit applications and liaising with regulatory authorities.
*Use industry knowledge and historical data to provide accurate and competitive estimates. Review and refine estimates as project details evolve.
*Ensures accurate budgeting and competitive pricing, which helps secure projects and maintain profitability while avoiding cost overruns.
*Facilitate effective communication between teams to resolve any issues promptly.
Customer Communication and Service
*Serve as one of the primary points of contact for customers, providing regular updates and addressing any questions or concerns.
*Maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure their needs and expectations are met.
*Enhances customer satisfaction and loyalty, leading to positive referrals and repeat business, which are critical for long-term company growth.
What You Need
*Engineering degree preferred or a minimum of two years of relevant experience in a project manager/estimator role.
*Sewer/Water/Site Utilities experience is helpful.
*Proven ability to manage multiple projects and timelines simultaneously.
*Strong project management skills, including estimating, quoting, planning, and ex*****on.
*Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
*Ability to balance internal production schedules with external customer deadlines.
*Experience attending and contributing to customer precon and progress meetings.
*Strong organizational and time-management skills.
*Desire to socialize, engage with customers and partners, and create a network of contacts and customers.
Required Work Schedule
Work hours are generally during normal operational hours 6:00am to 4:00pm Monday-Friday. The ability to work overtime may be necessary. There may also be variations in work hours due to special projects, meetings, changes in customer deadlines, and responding to critical customer service needs.
