🐻Have you met Mama Bear yet?🐻
Mama Bear grew up as the 4th of 9 children.
When she was 13, her mom was diagnosed with brain cancer and Mama Bear had to step up, along with an older sister, to help care for the younger children. At 17 years old, she was the one who drove her mom to her doctor’s appointments. She was the one who spoke with the doctor’s about the next step of treatment, and she was eventually the one to receive the news that the cancer was terminal.
Her mom eventually died when she was 18. This experience has shaped her into who she is today. This showed her that she can do hard things and not give up. Throughout this whole thing, she knew she wasn’t alone. God carried her, even though sometimes she felt hopeless.
Mama Bear and her siblings, has made a conscious choice to not let this break them. Over the years, they’ve become close and they make an effort to be in each other’s lives. This year marks 18 years from their mom’s passing. I know she would be proud of how we all turned out.
Mama and Papa Bear have 5 children and are raising them to be resilient, to be leaders, to love each other and to love God. Mama and Papa are very proud of them all and know they will grow up to amazing human beings.
