Swimming Pool Freeze Protection!
The following are tips to prevent freezing water problems if we get a hard freeze or a couple of back-to-back days with temperatures around 32 or below:

Automated systems - have a freeze temperature sensor that will automatically turn on the pumps when it reads temps of 35-37 degrees.

Manual timers - will have to be turned on manually.

Run pool pump continuously, day and night, when the temperature is around 32 degrees or below.

Run waterfall pump continuously.
The cleaner booster pump does not need to continuously run because there is water that flows through the unit when the pool pump is operating.

Also, it is not necessary to turn on the heater.

Although it is not necessary if pool and waterfall pumps are running, you can cover equipment and aboveground PVC pipes with blankets.

Please check the pool and equipment on occasions to make sure the pumps are running and there are no visible water leaks around the equipment.
