BATS! BATS! BATS!

If a bat is found inside your home

-Do turn the lights on

-Do close the door if possible and place a towel or other item at the bottom.

-Do call Pest Patrol 24 hr 401-463-3116 no matter what time to capture and have the bat tested for rabies.

PLEASE DO NOT DO THE FOLLOWING:

-Do not open a windows or doors!

-Do not handle the bat!

-Do not hit the bat damaging the skull can negate the test!

-Do not let the bat go!

-Do not assume that the bat is healthy!

Bite, scratch or saliva are all exposure to potential Rabies.

If anyone has slept in the home 24 hours prior to seeing the bat the RI dept of health wants bats to be tested for rabies.

Saliva is potentially active with rabies virus on a surface for over 30 minutes until dry.

A bite or marks may not be noticeable. If you hit a bat or handle even with gloves saliva may be on those items. Which in turn your handling.

Bats are beneficial and beautiful creatures. But belong outside not in your home. If you have had a bat or suspect you have bats you can call :

Did you know dryer fires are one of the top causes of house fires?

Cheap screaned dryer diffusers catch lint blocking the vent.

Did you know you cannot screen over a heated device with a screen opening of less than 3/4"?

Are your clothes taking a couple cycles to dry?

Are your clothes coming out hotter to the touch than usual?

These are indications your dryer duct may be blocked.

Dryer and bath vent diffusers are a common entry point for squirrels, birds, mice and other animals.

Pest Patrol can install animal resistant diffuser. These diffusers are steel construction with a protective coating. No screen. Magnetic door closure as well as recessed door to prevent animal entry.

Raccoons found their winter dens in January. Now those dens have been home to a raccoon litter most likely undetected until you hear bird like pigeon cooing, scratching, growling, bumping or thumping.

Raccoons can make an entry on many points of the home.

This was a familiar sight to us seeing roofing torn open. Pest Patrol not only resolved the immediate issue of raccoon in the attic via eviction. Pest Patrol installed all the preventative products needed to keep Raccoons out.

Be proactive with your home, not reactive.
Animals not just Raccoons enter or make entry into structures. Pest Patrol uses long term products as shown in the photos.

Ridge guard and rat wrap for the roof, AAC Louver vent guard screens for the gable vents and other entry points

Problem solved once and for all.

Raccoons have made their way into many homes. Raccoons start looking for dens in late winter and have their litters early spring.
Using thermal camera technology allows us to locate where the female is hiding her kits.

While raccoons are cute. Having raccoons in the structure can cause thousands of dollars in damage to insulation and interior spaces, parasites, odors and disease.

Using an eviction technique we can make the female move the litter out of the structure.

Sometimes she's not happy and greets us at the door.

Call Pest Patrol for all your pest and wildlife remediation and prevention.
