98 degrees, 107 heat index. Working all day 5 feet from a beautiful pool you can’t jump in… yup, it’s deck season! Five more scheduled in the weeks ahead; hopefully the weather gives us a break! Oh well, back at it tomorrow.

Had to sneak in one last deck this season. Thanking the Lord for some beautiful November weather to get’ r done! Demo the 30 year old treated deck, replace with a bigger one, composites this time. Extra large piers on this one because a roof may added in the future. Glad to have Dan’s Dirty Work help us out with the excavation, especially seeing that we found the old septic tank and a gray water dry well!

Another deck. This one a facelift for a multilevel octagonal. A lot of rebuilding due to poor original construction. Deck had shifted over two inches off plumb and would probably have eventually collapsed if put under a load. Before photos and in process in comments.

Our latest project on this beautiful home in Troy; converting over and under back porches into over and under three season rooms. New doors, new windows, beadboard interior. Stripping off the old beige vinyl siding now and replacing with some nice red James Hardy cement board. Just have to finish the third floor level, and new gutters. Just found out today the owner is getting a visit from the production team of “The Gilded Age”, to possibly use her home for the show! Sadly, none of our work would be featured except a few minor repairs perhaps.
