One of the most common things I hear when I walk into a home is:
• “I’m so sorry it’s this bad.”
• “Please don’t judge me.”
• “I meant to tidy before you got here.”
• “It’s usually not like this.”
• “Life just got away from me.”

And I want you to know something very important…

You never need to apologize to me. EVER.

My job isn’t to judge your home. My job is to help you reset it. Life gets busy. Kids, work, sickness, stress, pets, sports schedules, and just plain exhaustion happen to all of us.

🧽 Cleaning vs. Disinfecting — They’re Not the Same!

A lot of people think these mean the same thing, but they’re actually two different steps.

Cleaning:
Removes dirt, grease, and debris from surfaces.

Disinfecting:
Kills bacteria and germs left behind.

The best process is:
1️⃣ Clean the surface first
2️⃣ Then apply disinfectant and let it sit for the recommended time

This is why quick wipes sometimes don’t actually disinfect the surface.

Little details like this are what help keep homes not just clean — but truly health

🛁 10-Minute Bathroom Reset

If your bathroom feels messy but you only have a few minutes, try this quick reset:

✔ Wipe down the sink and faucet
✔ Clean the mirror
✔ Replace hand towels
✔ Wipe the toilet seat and handle
✔ Empty the trash

Did you know some common household cleaners should never be mixed together? Mixing the wrong products can actually create toxic gases that are dangerous to breathe and cause serious health complications.

Here are a few combinations to avoid in your home:

🚫 Bleach + Ammonia
This creates chloramine gas, which can cause coughing, breathing problems, and chest pain.

🚫 Bleach + Vinegar
This produces chlorine gas that can irritate your lungs and eyes.

🚫 Bleach + Rubbing Alcohol
This combination can create chloroform fumes, which are extremely harmful.

🚫 Drain Cleaner + Other Cleaners
Mixing these can cause dangerous chemical reactions or even explosions.

✔️ Safe rule of thumb:
If you’re switching cleaning products, rinse the surface with water first before using a different cleaner.

Sometimes when people are trying to get things extra clean, they unknowingly mix products. A simple routine and a few trusted cleaners are usually all you need! Less really is more!
