Around this time of year, Orange Park veterinarian says his team treats 3-5 snake bites a week and most are from water moccasins.

If you guessed that B was venomous you are correct!
A - Scarlet Kingsnake
B - Coral Snake
Most everybody has heard some variation of the rhyme “red next to yellow kill a fellow. Red next to black friend of Jack.” While that can helpful, other identifying characteristics are necessary for a positive ID. Both nonvenomous Scarlet king snakes and Florida scarletsnakes have red noses versus the eastern coral, which has an entirely black head.
