Project recap!! Another one for the books💝 Shoutout to everyone who helped make this most recent Operation Kindness happen! Although this is our third year with O.K, this was our biggest group of volunteers yet. It once again shows how great our community is when they come together and show up for one another🥰. We couldn’t have done it without everyone who came to help and took the weekend to reset this home. I met some great people and everyone was so positive and compassionate towards this families situation. Couldn’t have asked for a better team!! 🥰

Operation Kindness Onslow County was established in 2023 by Kate Hammett after noticing a need in the community for extreme cleaning services. Since then, our team of volunteers have completed 16 homes creating a life changing difference for all recipients. These services are led solely by volunteers donating their time and efforts, investing well over 100 hours into each service. In addition, we partner with local small businesses that offer their services and other acts of kindness entirely for free.

What makes this program so special is that we do not have requirements for applying, except that you must live in Onslow County. There are no income or age requirements, Medicaid recipient requirements, or otherwise. Depression, medical events, disabilities, grief, and otherwise do not discriminate so neither do we. Everyone needs a helping hand at some point in their life and our goal is to help those without creating barriers to that assistance. Eventually we do hope to expand to more counties but that is entirely dependant on reliable volunteers.

Year four of this program would not be possible without our sponsor Small Town Heating and Air LLC. Time and time again Nick has chosen to invest in our program and we could not be more grateful to carry such a wonderful business on our shirts. Our sponsors and partners are chosen with care, and we do our best to only represent the best of businesses that also reflect our same values. Kindness, integrity, reliability, and trustworthiness.

We are also very blessed to be collaborating with Onslow Community Outreach! For those who are unfamiliar with the outreach they house a shelter and soup kitchen as well as a free medical and dental clinic. Our hope is that with this collaboration we can bring even more support than ever to our recipients and ensure their success after our volunteer service is complete.

Staying busy and slinging sparkle, everywhere we go 🥰✨✨
Hi everyone! It’s been a while! I wanted to make a post and give a little bit of an update on what we’ve been up to the past few months🥰
We are proud to have an amazing lineup of clientele and are for the most part, pretty full schedule wise!
The beginning of the year had us in full swing of Operation Kindness Onslow County and you’ll find attached below is Just Call Kates lovely article on what we’ve accomplished with our volunteer work. We haven’t posted much since then, but it has been an amazing year full of new clients, move out cleans, and keeping up with our customers we’ve had for years now! And although we were sad to see clients move away this year and start a new journey, that’s exactly what we’re here for!
We understand that life happens and sometimes you need someone to help prepare for a move, help handle a busy lifestyle, and just be there if you need someone!
We are here for all the setbacks in life, the last minute guests, the unplanned parties, and the occasional “oh crap” moments in life🥰. And mommas- hats off to you! We see you balancing work, school, practices for the kiddos and so much more!! We couldn’t be more happy for every opportunity and are so greatful to have met so many genuinely kind people along the way. The feeling is unmatched!!
We’ve been fortunate enough to continue providing donations to Richlands Community Outreach and strive to help in all the ways we can. Anyways, thanks for choosing us and allowing us to be apart of your home some days! We appreciate it more than you know❤️

Hello all! Just wanted to share some photos of our biggest Operation Kindness yet. We were able to fully reset this home over the weekend for a family who needed it. Given various circumstances a single mom reached out for help and we were dedicated to transforming this home.
Lots of thoughts went through my mind completing this home. It hurts my heart to know people go through things like this, and feel they can’t ask for help. The courage it must’ve taken for this Momma to reach out to Kate and allow a group of strangers to come in and commit to making her house a home again. I am grateful we can do things like this multiple times a year. It is truly a blessing to share such an amazing community that can come together and make this happen.
The last day of this was definitely the most challenging. When you can see finish line but there was so much to complete still! Although we pushed hard the entire weekend Kate, Crystal and I spent roughly 15 hours cleaning, collecting donations and setting the home to feel brand new. By 1am we were exhausted but the job was done! We could finally call a close to this project, and feeling absolutely so fulfilled! To see it all come together is an unmatched feeling. We really did that! Thank you to all the people who showed up or took part in helping to make this happen. ❤️❤️

Our team killed it today!! ❤️ back again tomorrow!

Closing out day two! We put in another 48 total volunteer hours today. Operation Kindness will be back tomorrow to finish cleaning and staging for the family to come home. 💕

Thank you to all volunteers who were able to make it out today. Any help helps and things come up so we are always so grateful to have the hands that we have.

A special thank you to All In Pressure Works LLC who is donating their services to care for the exterior of this home as we lock up this evening, and to Carolina Glass Shak for donating their trailer, time, and dump fees for our final 1,300lbs today! None of these efforts would be possible without our local small business partners. 👏🏼
