Prarie mole crickets are rarely seen since they are nocturnal and live most of their life in extensive tunnels that they dig underground. When the males are looking for a mate they dig a tunnel shaped like a bicycle horn to amplify the sound of their chirp to attract a flying female. Pretty cool little insect find!

Get a call about black widows (yes 2) and sometimes it works out there are other benefits of having a pest control technician even just access the crawlspace under your home even if it’s just for a dusting service, since homeowners often times neglect checking under their homes. No we did not treat the crawlspace with standing water in it, but they were made aware of the issue and had it resolved. Standing water not only causes insects to become more active because they’re looking for dry ground but can also cause wood rot and other structural issues to your home as well as mold and mildew problems if not found and taken care of in a timely manner.
