There’s something about working on these late 1800’s homes, a nostalgia that arises in you. Who were the people that built it? You can trace back who lived in it but who was the craftsman that cut the boards, that nailed the nails, that worked with their plum lines and rudimentary measuring tools? There’s a legacy there that feels neat to be a part of in the future, even if all we did was gutters. The gutters did add, dare I say, an elegance to the house and we are able to keep the damaging water away from the foundation to help preserve the future generations that will live in the home.
