WHAT AN INCREDIBLE WEEKEND.
The dance party.
The laughter.
The tears.
The hugs.
The jokes… SHIRLEY, WE ARE LOOKING AT YOU.
The miles these women traveled just to spend a weekend with us.
Long-lost high school friendships reunited.
New friendships made.
Plans for the future.
And so much PURE JOY.
We had TWO Barbaras.
We played bingo.
We ate snacks.
We laughed until we cried.
And can we talk about the fact that someone actually brought their own DIET PEPSI into Granny Camp?! Barbara….
We watercolored.
We made miniature clay pies.
We bejeweled spiders.
We fell in love with Ms. Honey.
We made moonbeam wreaths.
There were beads.
There was glitter.
And there was MOSS.
Oh, the moss… IYKYK.
But somewhere between the glue guns, the dance parties, the snacks, and the conversations, something pretty special happened.
Women who arrived as strangers left with inside jokes, new friendships, and plans to see each other again.
And THAT is what Granny Camp is all about.
To every single woman who traveled to Huntsville to spend this weekend with us, THANK YOU. Thank you for showing up, letting loose, trying something new, and bringing so much life into these rooms.
And to our incredible teachers… you are the heart of so much of this magic. We love you more than you know.
What a weekend.
What a group of women.
What a beautiful little life we get to live.
Doing things we love with the people we love.
