This one was interesting ! Residential Customer called about a sink hole in their yard . We went out and discovered the old galvanized culvert pipe was rusted out . It come from a concrete pipe went to plastic . We installed a new culvert to replace the rotted one . Then once again the rain everyone is praying for struck , and it washed again . So after further investigation more galvanized pipe was in the ground behind the concrete and it was in worse shape than the one we replaced. At this point we dug the whole area up and replaced all the pipe with plastic . Poured concrete collars around the connection points due to them having a slight curve to connect to the other drainage . Fighting the mud we got it back filled in time for another rain storm . Once it dries up we’ll go back for final grade and sow the yard back !
