🛑STOP & READ: HELP NEEDED🛑
Know some in need of laundry service locally? Someone who can’t physically do their laundry, get to their machines, or shouldn’t be doing it for their own safety. I want to help them & you!
As someone who has been a caretaker of adults with physical handicaps, mental illness, dementia, Alzheimer’s, crippling anxiety, or are of frail state/age (elderly) I can promise you laundry is one thing that always needs done. It made me abundantly nervous to have my grandmother going up and down her steps for laundry to be done. She could never physically carry the basket of clothing up or down nor could she remember she was doing it. Laundry soon became something she hated because she always had to ask for help. It took away some of her freedom and independence to know she couldn’t do something so simple. I did her laundry for years, starting at the age of 10 until she passed. It gave me life skills and it gave her independence again. In the end it worked out but I’ll never forget the look on her face knowing she couldn’t do it herself anymore.
