During periods of heavy rain, like most of the month of May. The soil stays wet or damp for several days after the rains stop. In those circumstances it becomes necessary to divide a termite job into two different days. First day to trench and drill, which opens up the soil to allow sun and wind to evaporate some of the water from the soil prior to treatment. If the soil is already saturated, it will not absorb the liquid termiticide.
Once the soil has been moved, the termites will immediately reconstruct their shelter tubes to continue feeding on the wood structure of the home.
