We are having our Annual Christmas Social tonight 6-8 p.m. for members, and prospective members! For many Amelia County businesses and residents, the county supports you, so please come support your county's chamber. Even if you have only 5 or 10 minutes to stop in for refreshments and a little chit chat, please do so... and feel free to bring your business cards and/or promotional items! This year, the event is being held at George's! 9062 Washington Street, Amelia Court House... see you there!!!

Here is a fun fact as we celebrate Washington's birthday today. Did you know that George was not born on February 22, 1732? Washington was actually born on February 11, 1731, but when the colonies switched to the Gregorian calendar from the Julian calendar, his birthday was moved 11 days. Since his birthday fell before the old date for New Year’s Day, but after the new date for New Year’s Day, his birth year was changed to 1732.

Treasures from long ago in our attic... Antique Victorian Eastlake 4 piece Parlor Set includes:

Settee with tufted back and arms,
Gentleman's Chair with arms,
2 matching Side Chairs.
All chairs have tufted backs.
The Upholstery is in very POOR condition and is probably original to the set...
Otherwise the set is in good condition and stable.
Eastlake style with the wood being, I believe to be, either walnut or mahogany, with no issues. NO animal or smoke odor.
Imagine this set with new upholstery!
Circa mid to late 1800's
Low price reflects poor condition.
Pick up at George's Corner in Amelia Court House Village...
