Mother's Day marks when termite activity starts to pick up. You may start seeing swarms of winged termites, called alates, around your home. These pests can cause costly damage before they’re ever noticed.
Homeowner tips:
• Swarms outside are common, but if you see them indoors, contact a licensed pest professional.
• Watch for discarded wings, mud tubes, moisture issues, or soft wood.
• Reduce moisture and schedule annual termite inspections.
