I’m Madi, 1/2 of Althaus Ranch & Rescue. I handle all rescue communications, expenses & transports.
We are struggling. I do feel at times that we are just another one in a million shouting for help. In May we received a grant of $1500 which helped cover almost all expenses for May. In June, we received $25 total in donations to the rescue. Our expenses for June were $2935. We do not have any funds. Animals need to be fed. Vet visits need to be had. That expense falls back on me. I cannot sustain almost $3,000 every month, I am just one person. The farm store I had planned for is just not possible right now either, which makes me incredibly sad. We receive 3-4 messages or calls a day to take in animals. I don’t know when we will be able to take on any more animals. We were able to raise $90 Monday towards the pen for our newest rescue pigs, but unfortunately that didn’t even cover the gas to get the pigs. There’s a few things we have lined up to try and help:
1. A website where all our adoptable animals are readily available for viewing
2. Fundraising events for August
3. Posting more video content
How you can help -
1. Share. Tag a friend. Tag your favorite famous person. Tag everyone.
2. Volunteer. Foster. You have no idea the impact even one animal finding a permanent or temporary home has.
3. Donate. We have CashApp, Venmo, PayPal. Working on connecting our account for quick donations. Wet food, dry food, litter are ALWAYS needed.
4. Ideas! Always open to ideas and suggestions.
We have an event with Dunkin on Fort Campbell Blvd (by Gate 4) THIS Saturday from 8am to 12pm! We will be bringing our pups Spar & Junie for adoption as well as 3 kitties. We will have a spot to collect donations and Dunkin is giving away a free donut for every donation you bring us! Please stop by even if it’s just to give us a pep talk and some encouraging words.
We will be closed to any new intakes (no matter the severity unfortunately) for the foreseeable future until we can stabilize funds, get some of our long timers adopted and get more help on board.
