Another successful project completed by the team at

For this job, we completed a full chimney rebuild from the roofline up. We carefully demolished the deteriorated masonry and properly removed and disposed of all debris, keeping the roof and surrounding property protected throughout the entire project.

Once everything was cleared and prepared, our team:

🔨 Installed new lead flashing to help prevent water intrusion where the chimney meets the roof
🧱 Laid all new brick and mortar, rebuilding the chimney for strength, stability, and longevity
🏠 Laid a brand new chimney crown to help direct rain and snow away from the masonry
💧 Waterproofed the chimney to provide additional protection against moisture and New England’s freeze-thaw weather

🔥 Another successful stainless steel liner installation completed by McBriens Fire & Flue! 🔥

This project required more than just installing a new liner. Before we could install the new stainless steel liner, we had to carefully tile-knock the old deteriorated terra cotta flue liner to create a safe, properly sized passage from top to bottom. We also opened the breech into the chimney wall, made the necessary venting connections, and then restored everything back to proper working order.
Why is this important?
Old terra cotta liners can crack, collapse, and restrict proper venting, creating serious safety hazards. A professionally installed stainless steel liner helps improve draft, protects your chimney, and ensures your heating appliance vents safely and efficiently.
