As the winter fades away, and springtime emerges with melting snow, blooming flowers, and buzzing insects, it's also the season when bats become more active. Addressing bat issues during the spring months is crucial, as it's a time-sensitive matter. It's essential to tackle bat removal, control, and relocation before juvenile bat pups are born. Maternal mothers typically give birth to their pups sometime between the second and third week of May. During a bat inspection, our technicians can identify whether you have a maternal colony with born pups or a bachelor male colony, which often separates from the maternal mothers during spring.
Spring is an opportune time to handle bat removal, control, and relocation from your attic. With the insect population thriving and bats emerging from hibernation, they become highly active in search of food and water. If a maternity colony with born pups is identified, we can perform a partial exclusion to address 90 percent of the work before executing the live bat exclusion. This approach allows us to seal off all other potential entry points to your home or attic, minimizing the effort required upon our return.
