A special shoutout to Santiago, and thank you to Jeff for taking the time to leave us a 5-star review!

Around Hilton Head and Bluffton, we usually recommend sand filters for a reason.

Our pools deal with heavy pollen, leaves, pine needles, coastal debris, heat, humidity, and long swimming seasons. Cartridge and DE filters can absolutely do the job, but they typically require more hands-on cleaning and maintenance along the way.

Sand filters are simpler to backwash, handle heavier debris loads well, and generally require less routine attention. That makes them a practical fit for the conditions we see here every day.

Every pool is different, but when we recommend equipment, we look beyond filtration alone. We also consider how the system will hold up, how much maintenance it will require, and what will make ownership easier long term.

There’s a point when “I’ll deal with the pool later” turns into “Where do I even start?”

That’s usually when it’s time to hand it over to someone who knows exactly what to look for.

Pools can get away from you. Vacant homes, busy schedules, equipment issues, weather, or simply time can all complicate things. What matters is having a team you trust to take it from there.

We’ve been taking care of Lowcountry pools since 2004, and sometimes the best call you can make is the one that gets the problem off your list. ☑️

Black algae has a way of making a comeback.

One reason is that what you see on the surface isn't always the full problem. Black algae can settle into porous pool surfaces, which makes it harder to fully eliminate with a quick treatment or a few rounds of brushing.

That’s why proper treatment usually takes more than getting the visible spots to disappear. It takes a thorough approach and follow-up to make sure the algae is actually under control.

If black algae keeps returning in your pool, it may be time to look beyond the surface.

We know a few Lowcountry pets who take pool time very seriously. 🐾 Let’s see yours in the comments!

As summer comes to a close, we want to show off what your pets have been up to! DM us your pet pics, especially if they're by the pool!

A pool doesn’t get this green overnight.

When regular maintenance stops, water chemistry gradually falls out of balance, circulation issues compound, and algae has more opportunity to take over. By the time a pool looks like this, it’s clear the problem has been building for quite a while.

The good news is that the turnaround doesn’t always take nearly as long.

Once the right recovery process begins, even a pool this far gone can make a dramatic comeback.

If your pool needs a rescue, give our team a call. 843-682-8228 📞

Your pool pump is running, but something doesn’t seem right.

Maybe the basket isn’t filling the way it normally does. Maybe the return flow feels weaker. Maybe the pump suddenly sounds louder or different than usual.

Before you assume everything is fine because the pump is still running, there are a few signs worth knowing.
