**TIME TO CHECK YOUR SUMP PUMPS**
This probably doesn’t apply to most BUT for those in a wet area with sump pumps that run regularly, please check on them AND go outside and check where the discharge comes out of the house. Discharge lines typically aren’t buried very deep and they can freeze leaving no where for the water to go EXCEPT into your basement.

Sounds like it may be time for my annual reminder of how to better your odds against frozen 🥶 pipes. Consider taking some of these steps this weekend and BE SURE TO KNOW WHERE YOUR SHUT OFF VALVE IS LOCATED!! If a pipe should burst, you need to act quickly and turn it off. Then give us a call… we’ll be monitoring all calls & messages.

I know the temps have been up & down and it’s suppose to warm right back up BUT they are calling for a HARD FREEZE 🥶 for a couple days 🍁 So…
PLEASE - DISCONNECT YOUR HOSE(S) BEFORE TOMORROW’S HARD FREEZE!!
If it freezes, you could cause damage to your outside faucet which could result in a visit from one of our plumbers next spring!!

⚠️ NOW IS THE TIME ⚠️
Please check your sump pump and make sure it will “kick” on. As we all know, it’s been extremely dry so many of these pumps haven’t been running and they NEED to be “exercised”. Take a couple minutes to make sure your pump is ready when and if we get the rain they are forecasting!
