As a mother to a child with Autism, it broke my heart to learn recently that many cleaning companies refuse to clean homes when children are present — especially children who are lower on the Autism spectrum or require higher levels of care.

I recently completed a cleaning for a mother whose 9‑year‑old son needs 24‑hour support. She told me they had been searching for a long time for someone willing to work around her son’s needs. He is enrolled in ABA therapy, and the cleaning was able to be billed through insurance as a one‑time service to help create a stable, clean environment for therapy.

If your family is enrolled in ABA therapy, or even if you are not and just need a cleaning, and you have a disabled child who engages in disruptive behaviors — shredding paper, cutting fabric, scattering items, etc. — and you need help restoring your home to a safe, functional space, I am willing to take on that cleaning. I had no idea how many families were struggling to find cleaners who are comfortable working with children in the home or who understand the unique environmental needs that come with Autism and other disabilities. I am here for you!

I’m currently a one‑person crew with limited openings, but I am flexible and will make room where I can. And if your insurance covers the cleaning, even better — I love that for you.
