So my receiver hitch snapped today. Thank God the safety chains didn’t & kept everything safe. Except the new $$ power jack. But obviously could have been much worse. So i thank God for that & I thank Skyler Lingerfelt for stopping his day & come to my rescue to lend a hand & more! Getting 10k lbs up from 3” off the ground I needed you son.
Thank you for Brandon Isenhour for having a non stocked drop hitch actually in stock ! This is rare fyi!
Not for Rides it’s not!!
Now to the no thank you’s.
I happen to be pulled onto a side street ( Sheriff Dept Deputies in & out)!!
1.5 hrs roughly 7 officers passed. Back /street no traffic keep in mind!
Not 1… 1 not 1.. Stopped to ask if we needed anything, such as the utility facility next door they have to pass, want me to see if they have a jack?
Or ask my Wife ( who I had to leave alone with trailer for 30 min). Ignoring her presence & showing no concern if she could have needed something. ( a woman alone)
The 8th officer did stop, to flash his lights & tell us firmly to move up 15-20ft, it was an order. He rolled on.
Again, No traffic, nothing blocking the road except his ego!!
A 1st responder stopped to simply say , I’m sorry I can’t help , I don’t have anything to offer far as tools but I hope you get help & your day gets better!
I was so shocked at that point I just sat on the ground under truck & looked at him lol! Mad too!!
Seriously!!
End of day we completed our day successfully thanks to Sky & Brandon.
As for our kind Deputies, SHAME on YOU!!
You are not above, better, or beyond your Badge! You are human.
If i see you broke down like me, I’ll glady do all I can to help you!
If only encouraging words!
