Our shop remains closed but we have had a ton of inquiries lately, especially concerning “paint correction” and “ceramic coatings.”
Let me first say that paint correction if done correctly is a very tedious and time consuming job. It’s panel by panel work and can only be done once all contaminates have been removed from the paint. There are special buffers used with smaller heads that help keep the finish consistent. Then polish ect ect...
Real ceramic coatings are typically applied to new vehicle paint or to paint that has been “corrected.” Whatever the paint looks like is what it is going to stay like for sometimes years. Applying ceramic protection is typically done with a small sponge (for lack of a better word) and is done in small areas.
Be mindful of these things when you hear about $100 ceramic coatings. Most of those are no more than what you yourself can buy at Walmart.
If you have paint preservation questions ask us on the page. Or if you have interior stains there are tricks to remove them and it’s not the “magic tornado.”
