Today, we’re featuring another locally owned business that has long been a staple in our downtown and community. Family-owned since 1967, this business recently rebranded from Custom Cleaners to Davis Dry Cleaning & Laundry and continues to serve Hazard with a wide range of services.

Davis Dry Cleaning & Laundry offers dry cleaning, laundry, wash-dry-fold service, alterations and repairs, and cleaning for wedding gowns, prom dresses, bedding, rugs, leather, UGG products, and more. They also offer delivery within city limits and have a convenient drop-off and pick-up station in Whitesburg.

We asked Davis Dry Cleaning and Laundry what they love about being a local business in Hazard, and their response highlights exactly why they’ve been such a trusted part of our community:

“One thing we love about being a local business in Hazard is playing a small role long-term in the lives of so many community members. We have customers whose church clothes we cleaned and pressed as children, then we cleaned their suits and dresses for proms, steamed their gowns for graduation, and now we dry clean the clothes they wear to work. Hazard has such a strong sense of community, and we are honored to be part of that.”
