🚨 Temporary Closure Notice 🚨

The Big Kahuna is temporarily shut down by the City of Hazard due to low temperatures and low water tank levels. Unfortunately, this is something we tend to face during extreme winter weather each year.

The good news is that we’ve recently invested in a water recycling/reclaim system that will allow us to reuse a large percentage of our water and help reduce these issues going forward.

The Hazard City Police were sent to notify us and shut the wash down. We appreciate your patience and support, and we’ll update you as soon as the city allows us to reopen.

Big Kahuna Car Wash is upgrading to an entire new computer system that operates all of the car wash equipment due to a water line break that damaged some of our computer equipment. We expect to be down a few days throughout this week, but the goal is to open back open by the end of the week. Sorry for any inconvenience, but we will be installing the latest computer technology rather than upgrading existing equipment. Thanks for understanding.

Sorry for any inconvenience but we will be closed over the next few days to complete maintenance and install new equipment. We will post again when we are ready to reopen. BIG Kahuna Car Wash will be open on Saturday and Sunday (February 3 & 4) from 12pm to 6pm.

Beginning Monday February 5th, we will return to normal business hours.

The City of Hazard declared a water emergency again today and ordered us to shut down until further notice. We will create a new post once it’s lifted and the City allows us to reopen. Stay safe out there and thanks for understanding!
