๐๏ธ For our first post, I wanted to show what โTechnology built around youโ actually means.
One of my first full business digital-footprint projects was for BoPeeps Details & More, a local automotive detailing business.
And this project was about a lot more than simply building a website.
I helped create and connect the pieces of their online business presence so customers could find them, learn about their services, contact them, and book an appointment without the technology getting in the way.
That included:
๐ Building and launching their website at https://bopeepsdetails.com
๐ Creating their Facebook business page from the ground up, then connecting it with the rest of their online presence
๐
Integrating their existing Booksy booking system so customers can move from discovering the business directly into scheduling
๐ฑ Building the website to work properly on phones, tablets, and desktops
๐ธ Using the business's real storefront, vehicles, and detailing photos instead of filling the site with generic stock imagery
๐ง Setting up professional business email addresses and forwarding
๐ Configuring the domain, DNS, hosting, website, booking, social media, and other services so they work together as one system
๐จ Establishing a consistent black, red, and white digital brand across the website and marketing
๐ ๏ธ Creating an infrastructure that can continue to be expanded and updated as the business grows
But there was another part of this project that I think is just as important:
๐ฐ I reviewed the cost of their entire digital footprint.
A small business can very quickly end up paying for a domain, website builder, hosting, email, marketing tools, booking software, add-ons, maintenance plans, and subscription after subscription.
A few โonly $20/monthโ services can quietly turn into hundreds or thousands of dollars every year.
So instead of automatically buying whatever platform was easiest, I researched different domain registrars, hosting options, email configurations, integrations, redirects, and other infrastructure to find ways to accomplish the same goals without unnecessary recurring costs.
Where a reliable free or inexpensive solution made sense, I used it.
Where an existing service like Booksy already did the job, I integrated it instead of making the business pay for another system that duplicated it.
And where something only needed a small technical solution instead of another monthly subscription, that was the route I looked for first.
Because I don't think a small business's digital footprint should become another thing constantly eating away at its profits.
The website, page, booking system, email, domain, and marketing should work together to help the business make money โ not become a pile of monthly bills just for existing online.
That's a big part of what I want WNC LogicLab to offer local businesses.
You don't need to know what hosting, DNS, integrations, automation, APIs, or any of the technical terminology means.
Tell me what you want your customers to be able to do, what you're currently paying for, and what's frustrating you.
We'll figure out the technology behind it โ and we'll look for the practical way to do it.
