What are some potential clues of a potential harmful algal bloom? Blue-green algae can look like spilled blue or green paint on the water, a floating mat, or scums along shorelines. Another clue is a foul odor.

Testing and analysis are required to confirm the presence of algae that can produce toxins.

Report a bloom online or call your Division of Water Resources regional office.

Big news for Crystal Clear Bins!
Our newest addition — a 500‑gallon, single‑bin wash truck capable of cleaning up to 250 bins a day — is officially on the way with an ETA of Saturday.

A huge thank‑you to our friends at Squeaky Clean Bins in Casa Grande, Arizona for selling and shipping this unit to us. We appreciate you!

We’re still waiting on NCDEQ to finalize our authorization letter before we begin operations, but we’re getting close.

Weekly update:
With anticipation of NC Dept of Environmental Quality authorizing our permit this Monday, we sat down with a potential seller to finalize the purchase and transportation of their bin wash system to our location.
This unit is built with a 500 gallon water tank allowing us to service up to 250 trash bins before disposal.
We are looking forward to opening day.

Today we received our second Authorization to Discharge letter from our local business Craven Ag Services, Inc. A huge thank you for the services provided to helping us keep our neighborhoods clean.
Currently we continue to await the official permit number from NCDEQ to ensure all documents are in order. But we are looking forward to our equipment arriving and opening for services in our Craven County residents

Updates:
1. Our documentation to become an official North Carolina business has been processed! We are officially Crystal Clear Bins LLC!
2. The Plumbing company has come out and estimated the installation cost of our much needed service port. We are going to be speaking to the water company today on ensuring that it meets their standards of safe wastewater handling.
3. We have met with a seller that has a low cost unit, we are looking forward to speaking to financial institutes to start securing funds to purchase equiptment.
