Crystal Clear Bins

Lots of fun at our many events Saturday, starting at Life Point Church vendor event, we met with some people who wanted to learn about what we are bringing to Craven and Carteret County with our outside hands on environmental education.

From there we drove up to Tuscarora Solid Waste Landfill for their evening Trunk & Treat. Got to meet a lot of families who found out the trick part of the event and spung the Wheel of Misfortune and landed on chores to do at home. Many kids went home with "Clean your Room", "Do the laundry", and "Do the dishes" when they got home, Mom was more than excited to see that.

Crystal Clear Bins continues to build upon and train for our environmental education program provided by North Carolina Project Learning Tree, Project WET, and NC Office of Environmental Education, our leaders and experts in Environmental Education. We are currently beginning our Environmental Education Certificate administered by NC Office of Environmental Education.

Your Monthly Clean Team Update!

First and foremost we have a new customer in Havelock, they were sure excited to see us come by and clean their trash bin.

For our Environmental Education Program we are progressing with the Public Library here in Havelock, looking forward to early 2027 to have classes there. We have added more material to our already growing list of materials for Kindergarten up to Grade 12 and our young at heart adults. November 11th we are going to North Carolina Project Learning Tree class in Chapel Hill to meet with experts of the field to learn more about our environment.

October 24th is the Fall Festival Vendor Event with Life Point Church, 1185 Hibbs Road 9am-4pm. Make sure you come on out for loads of fun and a peak at some of our material.

October 31st is our quarterly Adopt-A-Highway cleanup on US Hwy 70, by the Havelock Wal-Mart. We will be setting up in the Wal-Mart parking lot, being appropriate clothing, footwear, and we will bring the buckets, bags, gloves, grabbers, hydration, & vests.

Storm drains, education, and a trash bin. That is what we are going over today.

Storm Drains:
Pine trees and grass clippings. The leader is jamming up our storm sewer systems. By themselves they backup water on roadways and reduce the much needed GPM to prevent localized flooding. Before the expected storm The Clean Team went out and cleared heavily blocked drains within the city to ensure water will flow.

Environmental Education:
Our environmental education program is moving ahead on having a recurring time setup with our local library! Nothing is set in stone so it can still be walked back, but we are working on providing world class education on our local environment, these are created by the experts of the field and compiled for educators to bring to children from kindergarten to young at heart. With over 70 different hands on classes, meeting NGSS, and CCSS standards we look forward to our first class.

Trash Bins:
We were contacted to clean out a havelock residents nasty looking trash bin. We showed up and delivered and never met someone so excited to have their trash bin cleaned. Like always we cleaned, sanitized, and captured the nasty bin juice for proper disposal at our waste handlers to treat before returning to the environment.

Please let us know if you would like to learn more about our environmental education program, or if you needed someone to come out and sanitize that bin.

We are the EPA-Compliant, NCDEQ approved trash bin cleaning company in the area.
