MDC's Household Hazardous Waste program is holding the final collection of the year in West Hartford at the Public Works Garage (17 Brixton Street) on Saturday, October 31 from 8AM-1PM for any MDC customers who live in participating towns. See link for more details about materials accepted, remaining fall schedule dates and more. (This was rescheduled from Sept. 26)

The MDC's North Hartford Community Outreach Office located at 179 Barbour Street is temporarily closed while the City of Hartford completes a sidewalk renovation project in the area. We anticipate it will reopen next week and will post the information on our website themdc.org and social media. Thank you for your patience.

MDC's Engineering staff recently attended the Pathways to STEM Night: Exploration into Transportation, Engineering & Construction hosted by American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC), Construction Management Association of America CT Chapter (CMAA) & Advancing Women in Transportation CT Chapter (WTS) on October 15 at the Connecticut Science Center.

MDC's interactive and hands-on exhibit included hydraulic piping and water filtration displays and was geared to students interested in STEM in grades 5-12. Great job!
