An interview with Brian Wagler, a Director at SERVPRO of Lee's Summit in Missouri, shares how his twenty-year experience as a firefighter shapes his role at SERVPRO. He says that having to be ready to work at a moment's notice helps him coach his team to be ready for Storm response. Responding compassionately to people on a fire scene helps him respond compassionately to customers who've suffered a fire or water loss, or who have experienced destruction. Brian's time as a firefighter is so important to him that he keeps three reminders in his SERVPRO office: his fire coat, his helmet, and a rendering of a fire engine. When a customer calls and says they have 6 feet of water in their basement, you instantly think... that's a lot of water!
Our crews set a couple of submersible pumps and let them do their job. We checked on the home, and after several days, all the water was extracted, and we could get to work cleaning out all the contents.
The final picture is WOW!! We want to thank these customers for trusting us to complete this job for them. 💚🧡

This month is National Safety Month, and this week is focused on Risk Reduction to ensure that your business and home stay safe. Some key points to consider this week and every week are:

⭐Do I have an active plan in place for a disaster to occur?
⭐Do I know where all the shut-offs are water, gas, and electricity?
⭐Do I know who my insurance carrier is and what is covered under that insurance?
⭐Have I ensured that my property is secure from any risk associated with a disaster?
⭐Do I actively know and have a trusted professional for mitigation, restoration, and mitigation should I need it?

If any components to these questions are missing, you may want to act accordingly! It is best to have these questions together before something happens to a property to ensure everyone is safe and secure and there is a proactive plan in place.
