The Bug Busters , LLC Insect updates for Orange County: the weird spring weather delayed yellow jacket nests, but they are exploding since last week. Homeowners are suddenly seeing heavy "airport traffic" of wasps flying into vinyl siding, rooflines, and gutters.

In July thru October , wasp activity increases with ground nests in landscapes. Yellow jackets are also building nests in the voids of structures ( walls and ceilings). The images are a few of the nests in some of our customers ceilings and walls. They had come through the drywall and filled the room with yellow jackets. If you see activity outside and any staining or wet spots inside near the area - you may have a nest within the wall or ceiling. Typical activity would look like an airport of wasps flying in and out of a specific spot.
