Re-election Campaign Announcement
High Sheriff Charles “Chuck” Massahos

Rockingham County, NH

I have had the honor of serving as the High Sheriff of Rockingham County since first being elected in 2018. I am currently serving my third term and I am seeking your support as I kick off my campaign as your Rockingham County High Sheriff.
I am passionate about getting dangerous drugs off of our streets. These drugs affect our friends and families in so many ways. I also understand the need for programs for rehabilitation when appropriate.

We have enhanced our Drug Task Force by partnering with more communities. This allows us to have more resources and manpower to fight the dangerous epidemic that is bringing poison to our streets and our homes across Rockingham County. We now have one of the most effective drug units in the State of New Hampshire

We have provided patrol and investigative services to numerous agencies throughout the county to assist with complex cases, cases that involved conflicts of interest, or when a town needed help during a nationwide crisis of recruitment and retention staffing shortages. We have also trained deputies in specialized work allowing them to assist the ICAC (Internet Crimes Against Children) task force as well as partnering with the secret service to investigate the growing number of fraud and scam type crimes committed against the citizens of Rockingham County.

We have also implemented upgrades to our regional dispatch center and infrastructure that dispatches for 24 police Departments and 19 Fire/EMS services in the county. We will also be moving into a new building soon that was only possible through our teamwork and collaboration between our current county elected officials including other department heads, Commissioners and County Delegation members.

I have stood by my campaign promises and have been making positive changes as the Rockingham County High Sheriff since my first day in office.. I have demanded more from my deputies in both the quantity and quality of work, while only adding one full-time deputy Sheriff to our staffing during my 7 years as Sheriff. We have become a professional and well respected law enforcement agency, fostering positive relationships with our local, state and federal partners.

The Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office has and always will be ready to help serve and protect our communities. Under my administration, I have worked to make the department a community-based law enforcement agency that treats its employees and the community with respect. This is a promise I made when I first ran for office and a promise I make again to the citizens of Rockingham County.

There is more work to be done and I could not be more proud and humbled to ask for your vote to allow me to continue my work as your sheriff.
