This was a long time coming but it’s finally done!!!!

Ole Western Field Model 30 12 GA that got some loving and brought back to life. This is a family heirloom that was a blast to work on.

This was completely disassembled down to the last screw and spring - cleaned, parts repaired, hours of slow rust bluing to give it its color back. The wood pieces were delicate so a careful cleaning of the wood was successfully done before applying a light layer of protectant wax.

Hours of soaking the barrel to remove the fouling and contaminants from deep in the pores of the metal.

I think this came out great, and better yet, the customer loved it.
