This past week, temperatures in NJ have been especially high - and it doesn't seem to be letting up anytime soon. This week will be in the high 80s to mid-90s, but feeling more like 100°F and above.

For those without air conditioning, these heat waves are especially difficult. Click the link below to learn more about keeping yourself cool during these times. Here are the main points:

1. Promote circulation with box fans and ceiling fans
2. Use water to cool yourself down
3. Go to a lower level, if you can, since heat rises
4. Try to turn off appliances and lights that give off extra heat
5. Stay hydrated, avoid alcoholic beverages and caffeine
6. Try to visit public buildings with AC
7. Remember to look for signs of heat stroke in pets and loved ones
