The sun is shining and its the perfect weather to enjoy your pool! Here are some pointers for maintaining chlorine levels to keep it clear & safe for swimming.

These four factors can effect chlorine levels in your pool:

SUNLIGHT EFFECT: Heat and sunlight can cause chlorine to dissipate more quickly, requiring more testing and potentially more chlorine to maintain the correct levels

WARM WATER & ALGAE: Warmer water temperatures can promote algae growth. Maintaining proper chlorine levels and circulation in the pool can help prevent it.

INCREASED BATHER LOAD: More swimming during hot weather means more contaminates can be introduced to the pool. This can also deplete chlorine levels more rapidly

WATER EVAPORATION: When water evaporates from the pool, it can lead to a higher concentration of chlorine and other chemicals.

When in doubt - bring in a water sample to Fisher Pools & Supplies and have it evaluated for levels of chlorine in your pool.
