This week is fire protection week and today is the anniversary of the Great Chicago Fire. Only great in that it started this wonderful practice of fire prevention education. This weekend our team spent time at two fire education community events teaching kids to use fire extinguishers. 101 years later.

The Chicago Fire of 1871, rumored to have started when a cow kicked over a lantern, killed an estimated 300 people and caused some $200 million in damages.

This week, Doc Reisman and Rick Landreville are at the Illinois Healthcare Association talking about how we partner with facilities teams to provide comprehensive fire protection. Kitchen exhaust cleaning, fire extinguishers, suppression systems, exit/er lights, sprinkler, back flow and filters.

We're honored to provide affordable, reliable service to our community healthcare providers.

So proud of our Averus inc. team that volunteered at the Mundelein Fire Department Open House yesterday. Teaching adults and kids how to use an extinguisher to help prevent fires. 600 gallons of water later, 375 practice fires were extinguished! Dedicated professionals, the best in the industry!

Exciting changes at Averus inc. with our new fleet of fuel-efficient vehicles arriving in Nashville, Atlanta, Orlando, Miami, Denver, St Louis, and Kansas City over the past few weeks. These were ordered in 2020 and we've patiently awaited their arrival for 3 entire years! Saving fuel, reducing our carbon footprint, and passing on savings to our customers - part of our mission to deliver value throughout our organization.
