💦 A SMALL LEAK TODAY CAN BECOME A BIG PROBLEM TONIGHT! 🔧

We found these washing machine box spigots leaking, and as you can see from the pictures, there wasn’t exactly a lot of room to work with. 😅

With very limited access behind the wall, the Dudes were able to get in there and replace both hot and cold washer valves before a small leak had the chance to become something much worse.

Think about it — those water lines stay pressurized even while you’re sleeping. 🌙 A failing connection or valve can turn into a busted water line and a flooded home before you even know what happened.

🚨 WHERE ARE THE VIOLATIONS? 👀🔎

Sometimes a leaking water heater is just the beginning.

On this inspection, we found multiple issues that could lead to water damage, electrical hazards, and even a failed inspection if left uncorrected.

A few things that stood out:
⚠️ Active water leaking from the unit
⚠️ Rust and corrosion showing the tank has been deteriorating
⚠️ Exposed electrical components creating a potential safety hazard
⚠️ Improper installation concerns that should be corrected

💡 Pro Tip: If your water heater's electrical breaker is located more than 10 feet away and not within sight of the unit, Florida code generally requires a disconnecting means within sight of the appliance. That's a safety feature designed to allow the unit to be safely serviced without someone having to rely solely on a distant breaker.

The good news? Most of these issues can be caught during a routine inspection before they turn into an emergency.

If your water heater is leaking, making strange noises, showing rust, or it's simply getting up in age, don't wait until you're standing in a puddle.

⚡ Make sure your water heater is receiving the proper voltage. Low or incorrect voltage can reduce heating performance, shorten the life of the heating elements, and leave you wondering why you're running out of hot water.

💧 Flush your water heater once a year. Sediment naturally builds up in the bottom of the tank over time. Annual flushing helps improve efficiency, extends the life of the unit, and can even lower your energy bills.

🚽🧻 Condo Life Strikes Again... and this time it was an entire roll of toilet paper! 🤦‍♂️

You read that right...

Someone flushed a FULL roll of toilet paper, and it didn't make it very far. Instead, it created a blockage that forced wastewater back up through the sewer cleanout outside the building. That's the mess you're looking at in this picture!

💡 Here's your friendly reminder from The Dudes:
🚫 Toilet paper rolls belong in the trash.
🚫 "Flushable" wipes still aren't your plumbing's friend.
🚫 If it didn't come from your body or isn't toilet paper, don't flush it!

One bad flush can affect multiple units in a condo building and lead to a messy (and expensive) cleanup.

Let's keep the plumbing flowing where it belongs! 🌊
