🌿 Live Off-Grid: Join the Self-Sustaining Revolution in Sonoma County!
Happy Hopper Aquaponics Farm is expanding! We are searching for pioneers to help us build a fully self-sustaining ecosystem on our 40-acre property. We aren't just looking for residents; we are looking for individuals who want to take ownership and manage these essential systems as we grow.
Our mission is to help people find a better way of living through clean energy, medicinal health, and high-quality food.
🛠️ Key Opportunity Tracks
Bio-Gasoline Production: Manage a streamlined, efficient process to create straight gasoline (ready for use, not biodiesel). The process is high-output: 50 gallons can be produced every 48 hours.
The Holistic Apothecary: Use our farm-grown herbs to produce salts, tinctures, and elixirs. We are looking for someone to lead this branch to provide health and healing to those in need.
Microgreen & Aquaponic Industry: Engage in the fast-paced cycle of harvesting, planting, and replanting seeds. This role is for those who love the rhythm of growth and want to manage a high-production food system.
Design & Engineering: Help us design and build the future. This includes constructing aquaponic systems and specialized structures like geodesic domes, yurts, and pallet houses.
Artisanal Craft: Leading our candle-making production for community use and trade.
🏡 What Life at Happy Hopper Looks Like
This is a place for creators who want to see the direct results of their labor in a healing environment.
Stewardship (25 Hours/Week): This is a lifestyle, not a "hangout." Your hours include your specialized track (fuel, farm, or apothecary) as well as daily property chores, cleaning, and the shared responsibilities required to keep a 40-acre farm thriving.
The Housing: We provide off-grid living options including Pallet Houses, Tiny Houses, or Trailers.
The Environment: Most spaces include limited electricity. You’ll be 17 minutes from the beach, surrounded by nature, focused on good communication and high-energy living.
The Goal: We are searching for serious, dedicated people who want to eventually manage these departments. As we expand, you grow with us.
📋 Who You Are
A Self-Starter: You can manage a process (like the 48-hour fuel cycle or weekly harvest) with precision.
Health-Conscious: You believe in the power of good food and herbal medicine.
Consistent & Determined: You understand that farm life requires showing up every day with a positive, proactive attitude.

🍯 Part 1: The Apothecary & Holistic Production Standards
This document outlines the expectations for those managing the salts, tinctures, and elixirs.
Objective: To produce high-vibration, clean, and effective medicinal products using farm-grown herbs and resources.
Seed-to-Bottle Integrity: We prioritize the "replanting cycle." For every herb harvested for a tincture or elixir, the manager ensures that seeds are saved and replanted to maintain a perpetual harvest.
Safety & Sanitation: While we live off-grid, our medicine must be clean. All tools, jars, and processing equipment must be sanitized.
The Extraction Process:
Tinctures: Precise ratios of herb-to-solvent (alcohol or glycerin).
Salts: Infusing our mineral salts with solar-dried herbs.
Elixirs: Proper blending of honey, herbs, and spirits for shelf-stability.
Documentation: Keep a "Farm Formulary" (a logbook) of every batch produced, including dates, ingredients used, and the source of the herbs.
Intentionality: We believe the energy put into the medicine affects the person taking it. We work with a clear mind and a helpful heart.
🤝 Part 2: Community Code of Conduct
This is the "Grit and Vibes" agreement for living on the 40-acre property.
1. The "Not a Hangout" Rule
Living here is a privilege earned through contribution. We are a high-output farm. Consistency is our currency. If you commit to your 25 hours (including chores, cleaning, and your specialized track), you must follow through without being reminded.
2. Open & Honest Communication
We thrive on "Good Communication." If there is a conflict or a misunderstanding, we address it directly and calmly with the person involved. We do not let "bad vibes" simmer; we talk them out to find a solution.
3. Stewardship of Space
Whether you live in a Pallet House, Tiny House, or Trailer, you are responsible for the area around your home. Keep your site clean, organized, and respectful of the natural beauty of Sonoma County.
4. Resource Awareness
Off-grid living means being mindful of what we use.
Electricity: Use it wisely; it is a finite resource.
Water: Every drop is precious to the farm and the aquaponic systems.
Waste: We aim for zero-waste. Compost what you can, reuse what is possible.
5. Safety & Sobriety
Because we work with biogasoline production, heavy machinery, and construction, safety is non-negotiable. Being under the influence during work hours is strictly prohibited for the safety of yourself and the community.
6. Growth Mindset
We are looking for leaders. If you see something that needs fixing—fix it. If you see a way to improve the microgreen harvest—suggest it. We value those who take ownership of the farm’s success.
