Responsibilities:
• Assisting Driller/Operator with maintenance and tools
• Perform various drilling activities including assisting the Driller/Operator with soil drilling, sampling, classification, in-situ testing, and monitoring well installation
• Responsible for maintaining necessary logs/records and filing reports
• Responsible for safety procedures on site
Requirements include:
• High school diploma/GED is required.
• Valid driver's license is required
• Requires ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds regularly
• Requires ability to stand for long periods 8-10 hours daily, with periodic rest breaks
• Smoothly and quickly connect and disconnect the lower parts of the drill pipe when it is being lowered into and raised from the test hole
• Label sample containers as directed
• Assist driller in maintenance and repairs to drill rig
• Must be able to perform duties in varying weather and site conditions
• Work atmosphere will normally be loud due to noise from drill rigs
• Must be able to go out of town for periods of 1 week at a time on a frequent basis
• Have reliable transportation to and from work
• Must be able to pass immediate drug test and background investigation and have acceptable driving record within company standards
Preferred:
• Ability to obtain a Class A CDL
• Geotechnical experience
• Mechanical skills preferred
• Basic first aid or equivalent training
