The day is finally come

Starting tomorrow morning, we can finally get inspections taken care of for you folks!

With that side, we are doing inspections 10 AM to 4 PM all this week Saturday 930 to 1pm

I’m so glad this headache is over and I really appreciate everybody’s patience through this ordeal!

!!!Update as of 10:51am: we are waiting for fed ex to deliver the correct sticker book today and we are good to go!

Morning everybody, the technician from opus did stop down yesterday and did get all of the machine's information corrected as well as hooking us back up to do inspections!

We are asking that before anybody just shows up today for an inspection that we get some time this morning to make sure all the overnight updates went through OK and that the machine works correctly!

We are just as excited as you are to get these inspections done, but I want make sure that we aren’t going run into problems with a dozen or more people here waiting to get inspected!

Well, after 4 months of fighting with paperwork, phone calls, and delays, it looks like our inspection machine will FINALLY be up and running Monday.

Just in time for everyone to put their bikes away for winter. Go figure.

If everything goes as planned, we'll be doing inspections again starting Tuesday!

We know a lot of you have been waiting, and we appreciate everyone who's stuck it out with us. We're going to do our best to get everyone taken care of as quickly as we can.

If you've been waiting on an inspection, nows your chance

Holy sh*t guys, this is NOT a drill!

Opus called us this morning!

Apparently, after enough of you called and made some noise, they finally got the message.

They called to let us know two things:

1. The lady in charge of processing our paperwork had “forgotten” about ours, along with about 20 other shops, for the last THREE WEEKS.
2. Someone is FINALLY supposed to be coming out next week to get our inspection machine properly registered so we can start doing inspections.

I’m not gonna lie, this whole situation has been a gift and a curse.

Between the endless paperwork, emails, phone calls, and trying to get answers, it’s left Billy doing most of the heavy lifting in the shop while I’ve been fighting to get this straightened out.

And the frustrating part? We’re coming up on the end of riding season, in our FIRST year of business, and we haven’t been able to do inspections for the last 4 months.

That’s a lot of missed business, lost income, and customers we’ve had to turn away. For a small two-man shop trying to get established, that hurts.

But you know what? We’re still here. We’re still turning wrenches. And we’re still moving forward.

To everyone who took the time to call, speak up, share our frustration, or just support us through this mess, seriously, THANK YOU. You guys helped get the ball rolling when it felt like we were getting nowhere.

Hopefully next week we can finally put this headache behind us and get back to what we actually opened this shop to do.

For those who have been patiently waiting with us for our inspection machine to be back up thank you for your understanding.

It’s not that we aren’t willing, or available to inspect bikes we have been ready.

It’s been getting the DMV and Opus, the company that provides and maintains the machines to actually get ours running under the correct station numbers. And unfortunately they are taking their time.

This year has not been the “Great start” we were told we would have, in fact this year has proven a lot of things to be the opposite of what we were told they would be. But Billy and I are making this what it should have been, what we want it to be.

We have a long road ahead of addressing things that should have been done before we opened ahead of our planned schedule. And I know it sounds like a broken record but we really appreciate those who have been more than understanding.

For those of you who want someone to be angry at about not being able to have us do you inspections, contact the help desk at Opus and calmly and respectfully let them know.

Not us, because our part of it has been done since April.

-On a side note, we are going to be putting together an end of the year service package so your rides are ready in the spring.
