This BMW fought me the entire time 😅

Heavy oxidation, failed coating, deep damage… definitely one of those jobs where you earn every inch of progress.

But those are also the jobs I weirdly enjoy the most.

After I finished, the client surprised me with lunch and a bottle of wine as a thank-you gift, which honestly meant a lot.

Moments like this remind me that great clients are out there, and that people genuinely appreciate hard work, honesty, and attention to detail.

And yes… the headlights came out AWESOME 🔥

❤️I LOVE my clients!💕 My headlight restoration client gave me (for my wife) fresh-cut roses, as an appreciation for the great work I did!

Some paint correction work on the CR-V.

These 2013 Infiniti QX56 headlights were getting BAD.

Heavy oxidation, failed factory coating, dull output… the kind of headlights that make an expensive SUV start looking tired.

A lot of people assume replacement is the only option at this point.

Not necessarily.

After a full restoration and ceramic coating, the difference was dramatic. Clearer lenses, sharper appearance, and much better light output at night.

One of my favorite parts of this work is watching a vehicle instantly look newer just from restoring the headlights properly.

Especially on higher-end vehicles like this Infiniti.

And yes… these were a LOT of work 😅

A lot of so-called “headlight restorers” would be nervous working on vehicles like this Porsche 911.

And honestly… I understand why.

Luxury vehicles have expensive parts, delicate trim, paint protection film, wraps, coatings, and owners who pay attention to every little detail.

That’s not the time to “learn as you go.”

Over the years I’ve now worked on multiple Porsches, Jaguars, Mercedes, BMWs, and even a Maserati.

Not because I market myself as some flashy “luxury detailer”…

But because people trust me to be careful, honest, and to know the difference between what CAN be restored… and what shouldn’t be touched.

This 911 had paint protection film on the headlights, so I restored the lower DRL / turn signal lenses instead.

Small detail… big difference.

And reviews like the one from this owner are exactly why more luxury and enthusiast owners keep finding me.

Spent some time last weekend giving my ride its once-a-year deep cleaning, paint polish, and ceramic coating.

Honestly… I’m in my happy place when I’m doing this stuff.

Foam cannon, polishing pads, shiny paint, clean reflections… there’s just something satisfying about keeping your work vehicle great looking and protected.

And yes… black paint is still a pain 😂

No client vehicle here. Just taking care of my own.

Sometimes the best jobs are the ones you don’t do.

Today I showed up for a headlight restoration appointment, took one look, and knew I couldn’t honestly help.

The client had already tried restoring the headlights herself, and honestly, she did a good job. The problem was that the remaining damage wasn’t on the outside of the lens. It was heavy fogging and liquid damage inside the headlight assembly.

And that’s something polishing won’t fix.

Could I have done the job anyway?

Sure.

But I’d rather tell someone the truth than take their money for a result I know won’t be right.

A little later, she left this review.

No, I didn’t get paid for a restoration today.

But I did get reminded why honesty matters, why reputation matters, and why doing the right thing is always the better long game.

Thank you, Brooke. This one meant a lot.

Client just bought a 20-year-old Suzuki Grand Vitara…
and the FIRST thing he wanted fixed was the headlights.

Honestly? Smart move.

Before calling me, he tried one of those DIY “wipe-on” headlight kits.

You could still see the drips running down below the headlights… but the lenses were still cloudy and oxidized.

Those kits usually don’t remove the real damage. They mostly just coat over it temporarily… if they help at all.

Good visibility matters, especially on an older vehicle.

This video is the BEFORE condition, right before I started the restoration.

$3,000–$4,500… per side.

Yes… PER… SIDE.

That’s easily $6,000–$9,000… before labor, time, and inconvenience.

You bought the Porsche for the performance…
not to replace headlights that cost more than a luxury vacation.

This one wasn’t just cloudy, it had heavy oxidation and a brutal amount of crazing.

Some of that micro-cracking was too deep to fully remove, but a lot of the surface damage could still be improved.

That’s where experience matters.

Most people would look at these and say,
“those headlights are done.”

Not me.

I was able to remove a significant amount of the surface damage, restore clarity, and seal them with a long-lasting ceramic coating.

Clean. Clearer. Protected.

Without turning it into a multi-thousand dollar problem.

If you’ve got a Macan… or any luxury vehicle starting to haze over, it’s worth checking before it gets worse.

📲 Send a couple photos, I’ll tell you exactly what you’re dealing with.

Client’s dog: “Forget the headlights… throw the ball.”
Me: “Correct.”

I always have time to play with the client’s dog. 🐶😄
