WEEKLY EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT: BEFORE THERE WAS BOGGERO’S, THERE WAS A LITTLE GIRL LEARNING FROM HER DAD.
And today, that little girl is one of the people behind the business so many of us are proud to call family.
This week’s spotlight is on Gena and Ben, but honestly, calling this an “employee spotlight” doesn’t quite seem big enough for these two.
Gena didn’t just step into this business one day and become an owner. She grew up in it. As a young girl, she learned the business alongside her dad. She watched, listened, worked, and learned the value of hard work, treating people right, and never being afraid to get your hands dirty.
Those lessons stayed with her.
Today, Gena is the one keeping so many moving pieces together. From early mornings to sometimes well after midnight, she is answering calls, helping customers, making decisions, solving problems, planning, working and doing whatever it takes to keep Boggero’s moving forward.
But the thing that stands out most about Gena isn’t how many hours she works.
It’s her heart.
She is genuinely a good person who cares about people. She cares about her employees, her customers, her family and her community. She has carried the lessons she learned from her dad into the way she runs this business today, and you can see it in the way people are treated.
And right beside her is Ben.
If the guys are out working, you can pretty much bet Ben is going to be right there with them. He works his butt off, leads by example and never asks someone to do something he wouldn’t do himself. And when he’s not working at Boggeros, he serves his community as a firefighter another example of the kind of man he is and the way he gives back to others.
Together, Gena and Ben have built something much bigger than a business.
They’ve built a family.
They show their employees respect. They put family first. They take care of their customers. They give back to their community. And they continue to work hard for something they truly believe in.
Gena and Ben, we hope you know how much you mean to the people who work beside you.
Gena, from that young girl learning the business beside her dad to the woman leading it today, you’ve carried those lessons beautifully.
And both of you — thank you for being the kind of owners people are proud to work for. Thank you for showing us that you can build a successful business without losing the most important thing along the way: being good to people.
