We’re excited to welcome Nehemiah Maynor to the Carolina Cleaning Boys team!

Nehemiah recently graduated and is heading into an accelerated Mechanical Engineering master’s program, and we’re grateful to have him helping us part-time throughout the summer.

He’s a great guy, a hard worker, and we’re excited for him to get out in the field, meet our customers, and be a part of the team as we continue growing.

Carolina Cleaning Boys has been hard at work designing and building a custom electric soft wash unit for our team. 🛠️

This system uses a Remco 7 GPM diaphragm pump, a 200Ah 12V battery, and a proportioning setup that allows us to better control our water, soap, and chemical mix on each job.

What does that mean for homeowners?

It means we can adjust our cleaning process based on the surface, the level of buildup, and the needs of each property. From siding to roofs to more delicate areas, this setup helps us provide a safer, more detailed, and higher-quality clean.

We’ve learned a lot through this process, from plumbing to electrical systems, and we’re excited to keep improving the way we serve our customers.

Earlier this week, Carolina Cleaning Boys had the opportunity to take part in a two-day retreat and strategy planning session at David Mayo’s river house.

We were lucky to spend time with Sharon Justice and Charlie Choo Justice, Josh Aaron, Tim Madden, Laura Madden, Mingle Maps, Simple Greek, and several great ECU mentors. The focus was on learning from others, building strong local connections, and planning the next steps for our business.

We are very thankful for the advice, support, and mentorship we continue to receive. These conversations help us grow, serve our customers better, and keep building Carolina Cleaning Boys the right way here in Eastern North Carolina.

Wood restoration done the right way.

We don’t just spray bleach and hope for the best. We use a two-step process with sodium metasilicate to deep clean the wood, followed by oxalic acid to brighten and bring back its natural color.

This method is safer on the wood fibers, helps it last longer, and gives a much better finish.

Perfect if you’re getting ready to stain, paint, or seal your deck or fence.

If your wood is looking gray, dull, or weathered, we can bring it back.

🏠 Had a great conversation with this homeowner in Greenville about why we use soft washing instead of pressure washing on houses.

Most people think you need high pressure to get siding clean, but that's actually the worst thing you can do to vinyl or painted surfaces.

Soft washing uses low pressure with specialized cleaning solutions that kill the mold and algae at the root — so it stays clean longer.

We also knocked out their driveway while we were there because concrete can handle the higher pressure.
