Got all of the insulation moved out to make ready to vault the ceiling. Assuming the lumber gets delivered on schedule then I demo the existing ceiling on Monday and start framing the new walls.

The windows are framed in and installed. I did the framing but not the windows themselves. First half of the floor has been insulated with sound barrier and decked. While I am waiting on the new joists to be delivered to shore up the area over the dining room before decking ill start walling off the left side of the attic. After the clients existing office is emptied out ill start removing existing insulation and ceiling and then start the framing for a new vaulted ceiling. Then frame in a new stair case up into the new office. And lastly the hall closet will be removed to open up the hallway and area at the top of stairs. May even have the client talked into some recessed bookcases with a hidden attic access.

Leaky faucet blues. Manfold rebuild and new replacement k***s. Was able to get rebuild kit from Banner.

Never confuse skill and luck but always be grateful for both when they serve you well.

The stainless went up and seems to be bonding well to the luan. After the adhesive dries then it will get a good acetone washing to remove any manufacturing residue, adhesive residue and any of my grubby finger prints.

I have to admit that I've never worked with stainless steel or this particular brand of adhesive. The stainless has a mirror finish so I was worried that adhesion would be a problem especially since the stainless is so heavy and hanging vertical. The bonding test turned out better than I expected to the point that I can say with a degree of certainty that the stainless will not come off the wall. The second pic of the test patch was after about 5 minutes of picking at it with my fingers. Its pretty tough stuff.

I have one and only one shot to get this right. Fingers crossed.
