If you want to add an above-ground pool in your yard, you need to make sure your site is properly leveled. Because the base is more important if you want to enjoy swimming for the long term.

What you need to keep in mind for site preparation for above ground pools.

Make sure to clear the area, remove all grass, roots, rock etc. And most importantly, adding sand is the much preferred way of leveling the bottom of a pool, it smooths the pool's surface.

Also, keep in mind to clear all hazards! The area should be at least 10 feet away from your house, free from power lines, underground utility lines, and septic tanks.
