🧵✨ Susan has been working through a stack of older quilt tops—can anyone else relate? 🙋‍♀️ I always say, EVERY QUILT IS WORTH FINISHING! It does no good tucked away in a cedar chest when it could be warming someone’s heart (and toes! 😉).

This beauty was a block-of-the-month from Sew Biz in Marion, Indiana, featuring gorgeous fall batiks in deep browns, greens, and oranges. 🍁 Set on point with HUGE 24" blocks, it finishes at a generous 80x106. The light backing gives it such an airy contrast, and we chose “Curls and Swirls” as the quilting design—medium density, full of movement, and just right for those rich fabrics.

Fun fact: I used tan thread on the front and cream on the back (which I don’t do often), but it worked beautifully here! 🙌

🦋 Recently finished longarm quilting this stunning butterfly quilt made by Kim! 🧵

She used the butterfly block from Lori Holt’s Bee Vintage Sew Along, created with Lori’s Sew Simple Shapes. I love how she arranged all the butterflies in one direction—it gives such a clean, elegant look! Her fabric choices (mostly Lori Holt, with a lovely low-volume background) made each block shine ✨

I quilted it with the Ginger Snap pantograph to add soft, swirling movement—just like butterflies in flight! 🌀

✨ Lynn's quilt is gorgeous! 💛 Measuring 74" x 84", this beauty features soft, feminine fabrics from April Cornell (Lynn has had them tucked away for over 15 years!). The star blocks and four-patch corners are so clever, and I LOVE her choice of yellow for the background—it’s such a sunny change from the usual creams and whites. 🌼

She used a light blue Robert Kaufman flannel for the back, which picks up the blue in her floral border perfectly. And we quilted it with the "Two Scoops" pantograph using cream thread—it added the sweetest texture without overpowering the design. 🍦

Lynn, you’ve created something truly timeless. Thank you for letting me be a part of its story. 💛

✨I had the joy of longarming this stunning quilt made by Lynn using the Solaris pattern by Edyta Sitar of Laundry Basket Quilts — and wow, it’s a showstopper! 💫

The starburst design radiates beautifully, framed by a soft blue background. Lynn used the Sewing Basket fabric line, and for the backing, she chose a white minky that makes the quilting pop in the best way. 🧵

I used the Whisper pantograph with spirals, feathers, and bubbles — and stitched it a bit tighter this time for extra texture. The cream thread blends perfectly on the front but really shines on the back. This one finished at 73"x73" and I’m in love with how it turned out. 😍

This beauty is called Enchantment by Pastry Shop Quilts, and it measures 71" x 71". Debbie used a mix of fabrics, including Land of Enchantment by Sarah Thomas of Sariditty for Moda Fabrics, and it is bursting with vibrant color and personality!

I especially love how she fussy-cut the centers of her star blocks—look closely and you’ll see butterflies, florals, and even a hummingbird or two! 🦋🌺 The rest of the stars are pinwheels in stripes and solids, creating such a joyful, dynamic look.

The Spanish-influenced colors are so warm and rich—yellows, oranges, turquoise, and deep blues—all set against a crisp white background. And the backing? It pulls all the motifs together in the most beautiful way. 😍

For the quilting, Debbie chose Ginger Flower—a gorgeous pantograph from Apricot Moon Designs. Big five-petal blooms with graceful loops in between. I used white thread to keep it soft and subtle, letting the texture shine across all that open space.

She tied it all together with turquoise cornerstones and a bold blue border. It’s cheerful, colorful, and just so pretty. Way to go, Debbie! 💫💙

✨Quilt Spotlight!✨
I had the joy of longarming this Traverse quilt by Tara Faughnan for Debbie—and wow, is it a stunner! 💥

Debbie’s sister made a similar version that I quilted with all straight lines, but Debbie wanted to try something new. We went with the Squared pantograph, and I have to say—it’s one of my favorites for bold, modern quilts like this one. 🙌

The fabrics are solids with a linen weave look—so much texture and richness in those colors! And the piecing? Curves, flying geese, X’s, plus signs… it’s a visual treat from top to bottom. And let’s not forget the back—mallard minky—super soft and the perfect canvas to show off the quilting. 😍

Quilting is like the grand finale of fireworks—you don’t want a fizzle at the end. You want something that pops! And I think this one does just that.

✨Debbie's quilt is called Swinging on a Star – a beautiful pattern by Beverly McCullough featuring her Stardust fabric line for The colors are SO dreamy: pops of pink, soft blues, mustard, greens – it all just works! 🌈

Debbie chose the Swinging on a Star pantograph to match, and it stitched out perfectly in white thread – full of whimsical stars and tiny swirls that feel like you could just swing right off them! 🌟💫 It adds the perfect playful touch to this quilt’s mix of patchwork stars, nine-patches, and flying geese.

The backing? Just as sweet – soft florals in coordinating colors that tie everything together. 🎀

🍁✨ Kim’s Fall Stars quilt is a pattern by , and she used the Cavalier Crow collection from — rich, moody fall colors with the sweetest little stars and prints. 🧡🖤

Each block is tiny and so detailed — some of those corner squares finish at just an inch! The layout creates a subtle Irish chain effect, and the whole quilt feels like a warm, cozy walk through autumn.

On the back, Kim pieced in a beautiful star block with her custom label right in the center — such a special touch! 💫 I quilted it with Becker’s Crop Circles pantograph in a warm tan thread that melts right into the fabrics, adding just the right texture.

April 2024 Sew Sampler box, featuring the dreamy Flower Girl fabric line by

The soft pinks, yellows, and greens make this quilt so delicate and sweet—and the bobbin blocks with tulips? Too cute for words! 😍 Terry backed it in a Bella Solid peach, which shows off the quilting beautifully. I used “Cart Wheels” pantograph to add some gorgeous floral texture, stitched in white thread for that perfect soft finish.

🧵✨ Just finished longarm quilting this gorgeous Holiday Blossom Mystery Quilt for Carolyn, and I am in LOVE! 😍

This stunning pattern is by Michelle Renee Hyatt and uses the Wild Blossoms fabric line by Robin Pickens — so many rich colors, florals, bumblebees, and textures to enjoy! 🌸🐝

Carolyn chose a soft cream Thatched backing (also Robin Pickens), which gives it such a timeless, antique feel. And for the quilting, we went with the Feather Meander pantograph — perfect choice! It dances across the surface with graceful swirls and feathers, tying the whole quilt together beautifully. 💫
